Girls & Young Women Leading Action
Building Feminist leadership across climate, digital, and education systems in Gilgit-Baltistan.
IEI Pakistan is a youth-led grassroots feminist collective in Gilgit Baltistan. We work with girls, young women, teachers, mothers, and communities to build safe spaces, local leadership, climate resilience, digital access, and community-rooted education systems.
Our work is grounded in a simple belief: the people closest to the challenges should be trusted, resourced, and supported to lead the change.
Across the Saheli Movement, Climate Action, Digital Skills, and Education streams, IEI creates pathways for girls and young women to gather, learn, speak, organise, earn, respond to crises, and shape decisions affecting their lives.
A Decade of Impact In Numbers
For ten years, IEI has worked with girls, young women, teachers, mothers, and communities across Gilgit-Baltistan. These numbers show the scale of our work, but impact is not only counted in reach. It is also seen in girls finding their voice, young women leading climate action, and teachers changing classrooms. Read the women's testimonies
Where IEI Works
IEI is rooted in Gilgit-Baltistan's mountain communities. This map shows our physical presence on-ground in 10 areas across the region, which are at the frontlines of the climate crisis. Our work includes local partnerships, learning centres, feminist spaces, digital labs, and community-based climate disaster response units.
Our Partners
IEI partners with multiple donor, local and on-ground organizations to advance feminist justice, climate action and education across Gilgit Baltistan
